He received one assault charge
A 26-year-old man was arrested in Brockville on June 30, after allegedly assaulting his wife during an argument at their home on Macodrum Drive.
At around 6:30 p.m., police received a 911 call where it sounded like a woman was describing a fight. Officers traced the call to the Macodrum Drive area and responded immediately.
An investigation revealed that the couple had been arguing when the situation became physical. During the dispute, the man allegedly struck his wife on the side of her head with his hand. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Police arrested the man at the scene. He was charged with one count of assault and later released from custody under specific conditions.
He is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
