A 43-year-old Brockville man has been arrested following a police investigation into a sexual assault and criminal harassment case.
Brockville Police say the investigation began on September 29 after a sexual assault was reported in the city’s north end. Officers later identified a suspect and discovered links to separate harassment incidents reported in May 2024 near the Mac Johnson Conservation Area.
On October 2, police executed a search warrant at a Brockville residence, leading to the man’s arrest. The accused faces one count of sexual assault and five counts of criminal harassment. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Police are urging anyone who may have been a victim of stalking, harassment, or sexual assault to come forward. They remind residents that harassment can include unwanted following, repeated communication, or threatening behaviour.
