A 37-year-old Brockville man is facing several charges after police responded to three separate disturbance complaints that escalated throughout the evening on July 20.
Brockville Police said the final complaint, received around 6 p.m., alleged the man threatened to stab and sexually assault a complainant near Parkedale Avenue and Crocker Crescent.
Officers located and arrested the suspect. During a search, police allegedly found a Quebec licence plate that did not belong to him.
Police said the accused became uncooperative during the arrest process and allegedly spat on an officer, leading to an additional charge of assaulting a peace officer.
After being taken to the Brockville Police Service cellblock, the man allegedly damaged his cell by spreading feces on the walls after defecating on the floor. He was also charged with mischief.
The accused also faces charges of uttering threats, possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
