A 20-year-old Brockville man wanted for multiple offences, including intimate partner violence, has been arrested thanks to the Ontario Provincial Police’s ROPE unit.
Police said officers from the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) team helped the Smiths Falls Police Service track down the suspect on February 18, 2026. The man had been wanted since February 7 in connection with an ongoing investigation into intimate partner violence.
As a result of the arrest, the accused now faces several charges, including one count of breach of recognizance, one count of criminal harassment, three counts of failing to comply with probation, and one count of failing to follow his bail release order.
He was taken into custody and is being held for a bail court hearing. Police thanked the community for remaining vigilant and urged anyone with information about similar cases to come forward.
