Successful applicants will be notified following the lottery draw later this spring
The City of Brockville says applications are now open for seasonal island camping sites for the 2026 season in the Thousand Islands region along the St. Lawrence River.
City officials say the popular sites are awarded each year through a lottery system due to high demand. Interested applicants must submit completed forms by Friday, May 1 at 4 p.m. to be included in the draw.
The islands, known for scenic views and quiet natural settings, attract campers from across the region each summer. An aerial photo released with the announcement shows one of the islands surrounded by the river’s clear waters.
Officials encourage applicants to review all requirements before applying to avoid disqualification.
Application forms and full details are available on the city’s website, along with the official announcement outlining the process.
Successful applicants will be notified following the lottery draw later this spring.
