Brockville Para Transit gets a new way to book rides

Riders must register before using the app or online portal

Brockville Transit is launching a new booking system designed to make Para Transit services easier and more convenient for eligible riders.

The City of Brockville says the new Specialized (Para) Transit Booking System centralizes scheduling and operations while giving riders more flexibility when arranging trips.

Eligible riders can book and manage transportation through the BEST - Brockville Transit mobile app, an online booking portal or by phone. The system includes real-time vehicle tracking, same-day trip requests based on availability, personalized rider profiles and the ability to book trips up to two weeks ahead.

Patrick Brown, the City’s supervisor of transportation and fleet services, says the project reflects Brockville’s commitment to improving accessibility.

Para Transit provides accessible transportation for eligible residents who cannot use conventional transit because of a mobility or cognitive disability.

The service operates throughout Brockville, as well as to St. Lawrence Lodge and Sherwood Park Manor.

Riders must register before using the app or online portal.
