Police remind residents that charges are allegations and those accused are considered innocent unless proven guilty in court
The Brockville Police Service says officers handled 362 occurrences over the past week, resulting in 17 arrests.
The figures cover the period since Aug. 21 and include a range of police calls and investigations across the community.
Police say seven of the arrests involved people with outstanding warrants related to criminal charges.
Another five arrests involved individuals accused of failing to comply with their bail conditions.
In total, police laid 22 criminal charges during the reporting period.
Officers also laid 40 provincial charges, including offences related to traffic, trespassing and liquor regulations.
The police service did not provide further details about the individual cases or identify the people arrested.
The weekly numbers offer a snapshot of police activity in Brockville as officers continue to respond to calls, enforce court conditions and investigate alleged offences.
