Brockville police are investigating three separate incidents involving a replica firearm, a serious collision and suspected drug trafficking.
On Aug. 13, officers responded to reports of a man brandishing a firearm near the John Howard Society on Stewart Boulevard. A 52-year-old man was arrested without incident. Police found a replica Glock-style BB gun and suspected crystal methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Police are also investigating yesterday's crash on Front Avenue West that seriously injured a 29-year-old woman. She was taken to Kingston Health Sciences Centre and is stable. No charges have been laid.
Early today (Aug. 19), three people were arrested after a traffic stop on Abbott Street. Police found suspected crack cocaine, cash, scales, packaging and more than 10 cellphones. A 37-year-old woman and two 40-year-old men were charged with possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and released with conditions.
