On September 29th
Brockville Police are investigating after a suspicious male was seen on school grounds at Thousand Islands Secondary School on September 29. Staff confronted the man, who then fled on foot.
Police, with help from Smiths Falls Police, later identified the man as 38-year-old John Nichol of Ottawa. He is bound by a Probation Order not to attend school grounds or be in the company of anyone under 16 without a parent or guardian present.
Authorities believe there may have been other incidents and have released a photo of Nichol and his associated vehicle to encourage witnesses to come forward. Nichol, described as 5'9" with a thin build, light brown hair, and brown eyes, is being held in custody pending a show cause hearing.
He faces three counts of Breach of Probation and will appear in Ontario Court of Justice, Brockville, later today.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Brockville Police at 613-342-0127 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
