The Brockville & Area Food Bank currently sees around 2,000 visits every month
A fun day on the courts turned into big support for the Brockville & Area Food Bank.
Earlier this month, The Brockville Racquet Club hosted a King/Queen of the Court tournament. The event raised nearly $3,000 and collected dozens of food donations for local families in need.
The Brockville & Area Food Bank currently sees around 2,000 visits every month. The club’s contribution comes at a critical time.
Top-needed items include canned soups, pasta, peanut butter, powdered milk, cooking oil, and peanut-free school snacks. Collection boxes are available at Metro, Food Basics, Superstore and Giant Tiger.
Those who want to help can also donate online, send an e-transfer, or set up a pre-authorized payment. Full details can be found at www.brockvilleandareafoodbank.ca.
Organizers thanked all donors and players for making a difference in the community—on and off the court.
