The Radiothon raised $180,125 to support palliative care services at Brockville General Hospital
The 2026 Palliative Care Radiothon in Brockville has raised $180,125 to support palliative care services at Brockville General Hospital.
Organizers say the strong community backing will benefit patients and families for years to come. The full amount will go directly toward palliative care programs at the hospital.
Trish Buote, executive director of the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation, spoke about the significance of the final amount raised.
Hospital president and CEO Julie Caffin said she did not expect the fundraiser to reach that total.
The hospital’s Palliative Care Outreach Program helps ensure people receive dignity and comfort in their final days.
Caffin explained why the service is so important.
Buote also thanked the community for its continued support in reaching the milestone.
The fundraising total stands as a reminder that strong local support can shape care for generations to come.
