Now open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Brockville Railway Tunnel officially opened Friday for the 2026 season.
Built between 1854 and 1860, it is Canada’s first railway tunnel and attracts visitors from across the region, province, country and beyond.
With more, here is Mayor Matt Wren.
He also says work replacing nearly all infrastructure inside the tunnel is now almost complete.
The tunnel is now open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with admission free and donations welcome to support maintenance and lighting programs.
The AQ Train also opens tomorrow as another local attraction for residents and visitors alike.
