Brockville road work underway with traffic disruptions expected

The city is asking residents and motorists for patience and cooperation while the roadway improvements are completed

Brockville’s annual road rehabilitation program is underway with construction planned on various city streets through Sept. 18.

The project will see the top 40 millimetres, or about 1½ inches, of asphalt removed through a cold milling process. New hot mix asphalt will be installed in the weeks that follow.

G. Tackaberry & Sons Construction Co. Ltd. will complete the work, with the City of Brockville’s Engineering Division overseeing construction.

Residents and motorists should expect temporary traffic impacts, including lane restrictions, delays, noise and construction equipment in work areas.

The city says crews will make every effort to reduce disruptions and maintain access where possible during the project.

Updates on construction schedules, affected streets and traffic impacts will be provided as the work progresses.

The city is asking residents and motorists for patience and cooperation while the roadway improvements are completed.
