A 17-year-old male is facing several new charges after Brockville police say he repeatedly failed to stop while riding a blue Yamaha sport motorcycle.
Police say the teen was first charged in early August with several traffic offences, including stunt driving and failing to stop. The motorcycle was also impounded for 14 days.
On Wednesday, an officer attempted to stop the same motorcycle near Stewart Boulevard and Centennial Road. Police say the driver failed to stop and could not be identified at the time.
The following night, at about 11:30 p.m., officers spotted the motorcycle on North Augusta Road and again attempted to stop it. Police say the rider fled.
The investigation led officers to Kensington Plaza, where the motorcycle entered the parking lot. Police prevented it from leaving, but the rider allegedly fled on foot and was arrested inside a nearby apartment building.
