The organization says the feedback will help inform future tourism services and planning in Brockville
Brockville Tourism’s decision to close its visitor office on weekends has sparked concerns among some local business owners.
Captain Andy of 1000 Islands and Seaway Cruises says the city needs to take tourism seriously to limit confusion among guests.
Brockville Tourism says the decision was made earlier this year following a preliminary review of visitor activity. The review found about 40 per cent of weekend visitors
to the tourism office were looking to use the washroom, while another 40 per cent were seeking general tourism information.
Captain Andy says maintaining tourism services is important as Brockville works to remain competitive and attract visitors.
Brockville Tourism says it will reach out to its partners for feedback, suggestions and concerns as it develops its 2027 Tourism Plan.
The organization says the feedback will help inform future tourism services and planning in Brockville.
