In November, she’ll join Team Canada in Abu Dhabi for a shot at a world title
Kristina “Killer Bee” Mabry of Brockville has been crowned the WAKO Canadian Featherweight Kickboxing Champion after a thrilling fight in Toronto over the weekend.
Mabry defeated Newfoundland’s Amanda Roberts by unanimous decision. The first two rounds were evenly matched, but Mabry landed a key standing eight count in the third, sealing the win.
“I’m grateful and dedicate this title to all the clubs who helped me achieve my dream,” said Mabry.
The former Miss Brockville trains with Canadian Black Belt Centres, Legends Boxing Academy, SouthPaw Boxing Club and Thousand Islands Warriors. She recently added kickboxing legend Jean-Yves Theriault to her coaching team.
“Kristina has reached an elite level,” said Head Coach Mark Johnson. “Everyone wants to fight the Champ.”
Mabry fights next in Peterborough on May 31, and then again June 21 in Gatineau. In November, she’ll join Team Canada in Abu Dhabi for a shot at a world title.
