Board Chair Chris Cummings said Montgomery is a strong choice
The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO) has named Shelley Montgomery as its next Director of Education. She starts July 1, replacing Laurie Corrigan, who is retiring after more than three years in the role.
Montgomery is currently Superintendent of Student Success, Elementary, at the Ottawa Catholic School Board. She brings years of leadership experience in Catholic education, including work in student achievement, Indigenous education, equity, and early learning.
Board Chair Chris Cummings said Montgomery is a strong choice, praising her dedication and experience in both rural and urban schools.
Montgomery said she’s excited to join the CDSBEO and build on its faith-based traditions while leading the board into the future.
Corrigan also expressed confidence in the new director, highlighting Montgomery’s passion for student success and innovation.
Montgomery is a bilingual educator with a Master’s degree and international experience in educational leadership.
