All are welcome to attend
A community vigil is being planned in Brockville as residents continue grieving after a tragedy that has shaken the community.
The Anti-Violence Coalition of Leeds and Grenville is inviting residents to gather for peaceful remembrance and reflection tonight (May 20) at 6 p.m. at the Women’s Memorial on Blockhouse Island.
Organizers said the event is intended to support grieving families and community members. All are welcome to attend.
The vigil follows a celebration of life held at Brockville Wesleyan Church for Louwanda “Wanda” Elliott and her daughters, Mackayla and Nikita.
Police have said the investigation remains in its early stages as officers continue collecting and verifying evidence connected to the case.
