The initiative seeks to return Canada’s auto industry to producing two million vehicles per year over the next decade
The Conservative Party of Canada is proposing a tariff-free auto pact aimed at restoring Canada’s auto industry to pre-pandemic production levels.
Local MP Michael Barrett says production needs to be doubled, and this is in the face of the unjustified tariffs from the Trump administration.
Barrett says this is about coming together in the face of adversity.
The initiative seeks to return Canada’s auto industry to producing two million vehicles per year over the next decade, while ensuring continued tariff-free trade access to the U.S. and encouraging investment in Canadian manufacturing facilities.
