Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for the closures
City of Brockville residents are being reminded of closures and changes to services in the first week of 2026.
Administrative offices, including City Hall, the Gord Watts Municipal Centre, Water Filtration Plant, Wastewater Treatment Centre, and Brockville Tourism, will be closed Thursday, January 1, and Friday, January 2.
Brockville Public Library will reopen Friday, January 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Brockville Transit Services will not operate on Thursday, January 1, while waste collection will be shifted by one day.
Residents scheduled for Thursday pickup should expect their garbage on Friday, January 2.
Christmas tree collection will resume the week of January 5 to 9.
Trees should be placed out by 7 a.m. on your regular garbage day, with all decorations and bags removed. Artificial trees will not be collected.
