Brockville residents will have a chance to safely get rid of hazardous household waste during the city’s 2025 Household Hazardous and Special Waste Day on Saturday, Aug. 23.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Brockville Youth Arena. One-way traffic will be in effect. Drivers must enter from the north on Oxford Avenue, turn right onto Broadway Avenue and follow signs.
Only Brockville residents are allowed to participate, and identification may be required. The event accepts waste from households only—no industrial, commercial or institutional waste will be allowed.
All items must be in their original, sealed containers. Ammunition, flares, explosives, medical waste, PCBs and radioactive materials will not be accepted.
The city encourages people to check the list of acceptable materials before attending. More information is available at brockville.com/city-services/solidwaste.
