Avoid driving over fresh paint
Brockville drivers are being warned to stay off city streets during the evenings of today (June 18) and tomorrow (Thursday, June 19) due to roadway line painting.
The City says the work is weather-dependent, and short notice was necessary to take advantage of proper conditions.
Motorists are asked not to park on the street and to avoid driving over fresh paint. The City of Brockville will not accept claims for paint damage caused by crossing wet lines.
Drivers who see line painting crews should slow down, obey signs, and stay behind trucks until directed to pass.
If paint gets on a vehicle, the City recommends washing it immediately. If needed, use WD-40, let it dry for two hours, and wash again.
