The season is set to run from September 27th to January 11th
Brockville has announced its 2025-2026 duck hunting procedures, with the season set to run from September 27, 2025, to January 11, 2026.
Hunters must register through the Parks Administrative Coordinator before heading out. Anyone caught without registration will be ordered to leave and will need to complete the process before returning.
Designated hunting areas include McCoy Island, Cockburn Island, Sparrow Island, Battersby Island, De Rottenburg Island, Twin Sisters Island, Sheaffe Island, Sheaffe Shoal and Snake Island.
Blinds or constructed shelters cannot be posted before September 15 and must be removed by December 20.
Damaging City property will result in charges under Procedure 1754, and offenders may lose hunting privileges.
The City says it will inspect islands throughout the season to ensure compliance.
