Voters in Elizabethtown-Kitley Township will have a chance to put questions directly to municipal election candidates tonight at an all-candidates meeting in Toledo.
The event, hosted by the Leeds County Cattlemen’s Association, is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 475, at 320 County Road 8.
Rather than simply listening to campaign introductions, voters can submit written questions when they arrive, giving candidates a chance to respond to issues raised by the community.
Each candidate will have 2 1/2 minutes to introduce themselves, followed by one minute for responses to voter questions. Candidates will also be available to speak with residents after the formal portion of the meeting.
The free event is focused on the Elizabethtown-Kitley Township municipal election. It offers voters an opportunity to hear from candidates in the same room and ask questions directly before making their choices.
