Tonight from 5-7 at Rotary Park
Families looking for affordable hockey gear are invited to Rotary Park for the new Brockville Winter Classic Gear Up Equipment Exchange Program.
The first Gear Up night takes place tonight from 5 to 7 p.m., with a second evening planned for Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the same time and location.
Parents can donate used equipment or get their children fitted with gently used gear. Sizes are not guaranteed, but organizers say there's a good variety of quality items available.
The program was created to support the Brockville Girls Hockey Association and the Brockville Minor Hockey Association. However, any family in need is welcome—whether part of another organization or not involved in minor hockey at all.
Organizers say they’re happy to answer questions through direct message and hope to see strong community support.
It’s the first year for the program, and turnout will help shape future events.
