Food Basics has officially opened its Prescott store, giving residents another grocery option and creating jobs in the Fort Town.
Prescott Mayor Gauri Shankar says the new store is a major boost for the town and its local economy.
The store is expected to create about 90 jobs, providing new employment opportunities in the community.
Shankar said the project has been a long time coming.
The new Food Basics is located at 120 Churchill Road West and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., with online grocery shopping available.
