Frankville driver charged after vehicle strikes tree near Addison

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on July 17

A 26-year-old Frankville resident is facing several charges following a single-vehicle collision near Addison.

Leeds County OPP responded to the crash on County Road 29 shortly before 10:30 p.m. on June 6. Police say a vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The lone driver suffered minor injuries.

Following an investigation, Sarah L. Doucet of Frankville was charged with operation while impaired, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, mischief causing damage to property, and obstructing a peace officer.

Police also suspended the driver’s licence for 90 days and impounded the vehicle for 45 days.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on July 17.

The OPP continues to remind motorists that road safety is a shared responsibility and encourages the public to report dangerous or impaired driving.
