Families are invited to bring children out for an afternoon of fishing, food and activities while enjoying the final days of summer
Children and families are invited to take part in a free Kids’ Fishing Derby in Cardinal on Saturday, August 29.
The Seaway and Augusta Optimist Clubs, along with Bait Fuels Fishing Tour, are hosting the event Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cardinal Legion.
The derby is open to all children and will feature fishing, giveaways and prizes. Hot dogs and drinks will also be available for participants.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The event is supported by local sponsors Heather MacKay of Royal LePage Team Realty, Seaway Doors Ltd. and Ronnie Knapp Small Engines.
