North tunnel parking lot off Brock Street
Garden lovers in Brockville have a chance to take home free tulip bulbs between now and this Friday, June 6.
The Town is giving away about 12,000 bulbs in the north tunnel parking lot off Brock Street. People looking to join the giveaway should head to the back of the lot and look for the orange barricades.
Bags of bulbs will be dropped off several times a day throughout the week. Each black garbage bag holds a dozen tulip bulbs. Organizers ask that each person only take one bag to ensure there's enough for everyone.
The bulbs come from public garden beds after their spring bloom and are no longer needed. Town staff stress safety: residents should not approach gardeners while they work.
The event runs until all bulbs are gone.
This popular annual giveaway is first come, first served—so don’t wait.
