Front of Yonge has a strong record of securing Ontario Trillium Foundation grants in recent years
Front of Yonge has received $60,600 in provincial funding to support long-term recreation planning.
The funding comes from an Ontario Trillium Foundation Seed Grant and will be used to develop a five-year active lifestyle plan for the municipality.
Local MPP Steve Clark announced the grant at a Front of Yonge council meeting this week.
The plan will focus on recreation, physical activity, and active living opportunities aimed at building healthier and more connected communities.
Mayor Roger Haley and council were recognized for their leadership and vision in supporting the application.
