Counties council will decide whether to approve the recommendation or not on Nov. 20
Community members continue to rally behind the Cooperative Care Centre after the Joint Services Committee of Leeds and Grenville voted back in early October to end funding on December 31.
During its Tuesday (Nov. 4) meeting, presentations were made urging support.
Among them was Claudette Boivin, who explained how the centre has helped people close to her.
CCC Director Amber Gilmour says they're more than just a place to sleep.
The committee passed a recommendation to extend funding to March 31, 2026. Counties council will decide whether to approve it or not on November 20.
