Believes he can be the best netminder in the CCHL
Brockville native Nate Galbraith is back in Brockville for his first season as the starting goaltender of the CCHL's Brockville Braves.
The 19-year-old has something to prove after losing his 2023-24 season due to hip surgery and a cam impingement during his time with the u18 Braves. This is a type of impingement that occurs when extra bone grows on the head of the femur, creating an irregular shape that can cause pain in the hips during movement.
Galbraith says he has a good perspective on it now.
After a strong and healthy 2024-25 campaign with the U.S. Premier Hockey League's Tampa Bay Junior Lightning, where he registered a 2.31 goals against average (GAA) and a save percentage of .929, Galbraith believes he can be the best netminder in the CCHL.
Galbraith adds that he likes the team in front of him, citing their skill and talent.
The Braves go for their fourth win in five games tonight on home ice against the Hawkesbury Hawks. Puck drop is 7:30.
