Police say the investigation remains ongoing
On Sunday, April 26, at about 3:30 p.m., police in Brockville received a call from a man reporting that he had been assaulted by his 24-year-old girlfriend at a residence on Reynolds Drive. Officers attended the home and spoke with both individuals involved in the incident.
Investigators determined the woman allegedly struck the man on the arm and spat on him, and his glasses were damaged during the altercation. Injuries were reported as minor and non-life-threatening.
The woman was arrested and transported to the Brockville Police Service for further investigation. She was charged with two counts of assault and one count of mischief under $5,000. She was later released with conditions and a future court date.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and remind the public that resources are available for those experiencing intimate partner violence in the community and encourage reporting to authorities when incidents occur without delay services.
