Skyward Active Health Centre says it plans to continue contributing fundraising dollars to the project in the future
A local golf fundraiser has delivered a major boost to Mallorytown Recreation Park renovations.
Skyward Active Health Centre’s second annual charity golf tournament raised $23,200 for improvements to the park, with the cheque recently presented to Front of Yonge Township council.
The fundraiser took place May 30 at Brockville Country Club and also supported Brockville and Area Special Olympics.
The tournament featured an 18-hole, four-person scramble, with lunch, dinner, an auction and prizes.
The money directed to Mallorytown Recreation Park is already helping fund improvements. The project began this summer with the installation of netting behind the soccer net.
Skyward Active Health Centre says it plans to continue contributing fundraising dollars to the project in the future.
