Gord Brown Memorial Golf Tournament raises more than $173,000 for local causes

The Gord Brown Memorial Golf Tournament has raised $173,318.80 for programs and services across Leeds and Grenville.

The annual tournament, held in honour of the late MP Gord Brown, brought together golfers, sponsors, volunteers, donors and community partners to support the United Way Leeds & Grenville annual campaign. Melissa Hindman from the United Way was very thankful for the support from the Brown Family.

The event also featured former NHL players Alyn McCauley, Larry Robinson and Moe Robinson, highlighting Brown’s love of hockey, along with former Ottawa Senator Chris Neil, who was at the event for the first time.

The campaign provides funding for programs that help meet the greatest needs of individuals and families across the region.

United Way Leeds & Grenville Board Chair Ian McFall said Brown’s legacy of community service continues through the tournament.
