Construction begins Tuesday, May 6
A long-term ramp closure is coming to Highway 401, and drivers are being urged to prepare for delays.
Starting Tuesday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m., the westbound on-ramp to Highway 401 at Mallorytown Road will be closed for construction. The closure is expected to last until August.
The ramp shutdown is part of Stage 2 of the Ministry of Transportation's (MTO) project MTO 2024-4005. GIP Paving Inc. will begin full construction operations the week of May 4 as part of ongoing upgrades in the area.
Officials are asking drivers to adjust their travel and commuting plans during this time.
The closure is expected to affect traffic patterns in the region, and motorists should plan alternate routes to avoid delays.
For more updates and project details, visit the MTO’s website or follow local traffic alerts.
Stay safe and plan ahead.
