Municipal facilities and services in the City of Brockville will operate on modified hours during the holiday period, with several closures and schedule changes affecting residents.
Administrative offices, including City Hall and municipal service centres, will close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Jan. 2, with reduced hours on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. Regular hours resume on select weekdays between holidays.
Brockville Transit will not operate on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 or Jan. 1, with reduced service on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Limited service will run on Dec. 27.
There will be no waste or recycling collection on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 or Jan. 1. Pickups will be delayed to Dec. 27 and Jan. 2. Christmas tree collection takes place during the week of Jan. 5 to 9 on regular collection days.
The Brockville Public Library, Arts Centre, Museum and Tourism Visitor Information Centre will also observe closures and reduced hours. Full details are available on the city’s website.
