The South Grenville Food Bank is inviting residents to take part in its “24 Days of Giving” challenge, a holiday campaign that encourages people to fill a donation box one day at a time. The countdown begins December 1 and runs to Christmas Eve, with participants adding a specific food item each day and delivering the completed box to any food bank location.
The initiative aims to support families across Prescott, Cardinal, Spencerville, and Augusta Township during the busiest time of year for food assistance. Donations can be dropped off at the Prescott site on Henry Street West, the Cardinal Public Library, the Spencerville United Church, or the Augusta Township office during business hours.
The food bank will also host a Christmas Open House on December 20 at its Prescott location, featuring warm drinks, treats, and the announcement of the 2025 Christmas Cup Trophy winner. Organizers say each small contribution helps ensure shelves — and spirits — stay full this season.
