Trees should not be placed on or frozen into snowbanks
Brockville residents are being reminded of changes to waste collection schedules during the holiday season.
There will be no garbage or recycling pickup on Christmas Day, Thursday, Dec. 25, or Boxing Day, Friday, Dec. 26. Waste collection normally scheduled for Thursday will be delayed by two days and collected on Saturday, Dec. 27.
There will also be no waste collection on New Year’s Day, Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026. That service will be moved ahead by one day to Friday, Jan. 2.
The city says natural Christmas tree collection will take place on regular garbage days during the week of Jan. 5 to 9, 2026. Trees must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day.
All decorations, tinsel, tree bags and stands must be removed. Artificial trees will not be collected. Trees should not be placed on or frozen into snowbanks.
Residents can download the City of Brockville collection calendar and view the full holiday service schedule on the city’s website.
