The Cooperative Care Centre in Brockville is asking the public to step up as demand for meals continues to rise. The centre served 1,936 breakfasts and dinners last month alone, and staff say the need keeps growing.
The program offers simple ways for residents to make a difference. A $10 weekly sponsorship provides a nutritious breakfast for one person for an entire week. For those able to give more, a $120 monthly sponsorship covers both breakfast and dinner for one guest — more than 60 meals in total.
Organizers say every dollar goes further than most people realize, helping to provide not only food but also dignity, hope and community.
The Cooperative Care Centre believes no one should have to choose between survival and a meal. Donations can be made by e-transfer to brockvillehousingpartnership@gmail.com with “meal sponsorship” in the message.
