Drew faces multiple charges including arson, causing an explosion, and more
The Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged 40-year-old Graham Drew of Jasper in connection with a suspicious fire at an unoccupied single-family home north of Brockville on July 20.
Shortly after 5 a.m., Leeds OPP responded to the structure fire. No injuries were reported.
Following an extensive investigation by the Leeds OPP Crime Unit, officers executed a search warrant at a property on County Road 7 near Jasper. The search uncovered a semi-automatic rifle, high-capacity magazines, ammunition, body armour, brass knuckles, explosives containers, suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, a riding lawnmower, vehicles, and several cellphones.
Drew faces multiple charges including arson, causing an explosion, possession and storage of explosives and firearms, possession of prohibited devices, and possession of property obtained by crime.
He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing tomorrow (July 31st) in Brockville Court.
