Organizers say the inaugural competition exceeded expectations, highlighting the strength of the region’s entrepreneurial community
Two local businesses have taken top honours in the first Leeds Grenville’s Greatest Entrepreneur competition. The Pitch Gala, held last night, celebrated innovation, resilience, and entrepreneurial talent across the region.
Grand prize winners include Tempo Drive Music Studio in Kemptville, representing the Community Futures Grenville area, and Curran Reading Corner in Brockville, part of the 1000 Islands CDC service area. Each business received $10,000 in cash plus more than $10,000 in in-kind business supports to help accelerate growth.
The competition also recognized exceptional finalists, who each received $1,500: Gan Fitness (Gananoque), GreenVeil Packaging (Kemptville), Monday Nutrition (Spencerville), and QueenCare (Brockville).
Judges provided thoughtful feedback, and sponsorship from iTrepreneur gave finalists access to AI-powered business coaching. Funded in part by the Government of Canada through FedDev Ontario, organizers say the inaugural competition exceeded expectations, highlighting the strength of the region’s entrepreneurial community.
