Kemptville District Hospital has announced a new partnership aimed at expanding access to publicly funded physiotherapy in the community.
The hospital said it is working with Vitality Physiotherapy and Wellness Centre Kemptville to offer physiotherapy services covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan.
Vitality is now accepting OHIP referrals from physicians, nurse practitioners and hospital discharge planners. Self referrals are also being accepted, although the clinic said there is a monthly limit on the number of patients it can see.
People with a valid Ontario health card may qualify for government funded physiotherapy if they are 65 or older, 19 or younger, or of any age following an overnight hospital stay or day surgery within the past 12 months. Recipients of Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program are also eligible.
The clinic is located at 3000 County Road 43, Unit C4 in Kemptville Ontario.
