The organization said it will continue working with the province on long-term solutions
Municipal leaders from across eastern Ontario wrapped up a major advocacy day at Queen’s Park last week, focusing on infrastructure, healthcare and economic growth.
The Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus, representing 103 municipalities, held 16 meetings with ministers, parliamentary assistants and MPPs during the visit.
Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, spoke about one of the group’s top priorities.
Clark also talked about another priority the EOWC is focusing on.
Leaders say even a small portion returned to municipalities could support infrastructure projects across eastern Ontario.
EOWC chair Bonnie Clark said municipalities are ready to support housing, workforce growth and economic development priorities.
The organization said it will continue working with the province on long-term solutions.
