Clark says this last week of the session at Queen's Park will be a busy week
Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands & Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark says this last week of the session at Queen's Park will be a busy week.
That bill he speaks of is known as Bill 5, which faces backlash for allowing the government to bypass local laws and weaken endangered species protections for projects in key economic areas.
Clark, who is also the Government House Leader is limiting further committee time, which will require the bill head to a third reading in the house, followed by an hour of debate and the final vote.
Opposition MPPs call the move undemocratic.
Once the house rises, Clark is making it clear that the break in Toronto doesn't mean the work stops for the government.
Clark also says he fully expects a few late nights this week before the end of the session.
