A local treasure hunter has reunited a family with a deeply meaningful keepsake after a determined multi-day search.
A local contributor known as “613 Treasure Hunter” said he was contacted after a Facebook post described a young girl who had lost a pendant containing her father’s ashes. The item held strong emotional value for both the child and her mother, whose husband died about a year ago.
After speaking with the girl’s mother and gathering details about where the pendant might be, the searcher began combing the area using metal detecting equipment. He spent three days looking without success.
Refusing to give up, he returned for another attempt and located the missing pendant. He then delivered it back to the family’s home.
