Work is moving forward
Work on King Street West is moving forward, with major underground infrastructure now complete.
All storm sewer mains and leads have passed camera inspections, and the water main has also cleared pressure testing.
The next step is bacteriological testing, which is expected to take a few days.
Once that’s done, the new water main will be tied into the existing system, likely by Friday.
Although the project is slightly behind schedule, crews from Mulrooney are continuing to make steady progress.
If sub-contractor availability lines up, concrete curb and sidewalk installation could start as early as next week.
Paving and sod work may follow the week after.
Residents and drivers are advised to remain patient as the final phases of the project begin to take shape.
The improvements are part of ongoing efforts to upgrade local infrastructure in the area.
