Dan Black, a local author from Merrickville, is a well-regarded historical writer who has recently released a new book called “Oceans of Fate: Peace and Peril Aboard the Steamship Empress of Asia.”
Black has written several books exploring Canadian military and social history, including “Old Enough to Fight” and “Harry Livingstone’s Forgotten Men.”
Black explained more about the book.
Black will be in Mallorytown this Sunday, April 26th, to chat about his latest book as part of Mallorytown Talks.
He says the discussion will also include other interesting history.
The event begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Mallorytown Community Centre.
