Police have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding her death
Justin Donovan Biscope of Smiths Falls remains in custody following his first hearing in Brockville's Ontario Superior Court of Justice on Sept. 4 in connection with the death of 37-year-old Chelsea Swinwood.
Biscope faces charges of second-degree murder and indignity to a body. He is also facing two charges laid Aug. 30, including illegal possession of a firearm and breach of probation.
In his initial hearing, the Crown requested a non-communication order covering a long list of people police have contacted as part of the investigation.
The judge granted the order but excluded Biscope’s two children and their mother.
Biscope remains in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for a bail hearing tomorrow in Brockville at 11 a.m. in courtroom 1.
The charges have not been proven in court, and the investigation into Swinwood’s death remains ongoing. Police have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding her death.
