The man was charged with assault and assaulting a peace officer
Brockville Police responded to a 911 call on May 10 around 11:45 p.m. about a dispute between a couple on Front Avenue.
Officers found a 25-year-old man who had been drinking and arguing with his wife. The argument escalated, and the man shoved his wife.
When police tried to arrest him, he fell to the floor and tried to kick the officers.
The man was charged with assault and assaulting a peace officer.
He is being held for a bail hearing.
